hi, i noticed something with latest release 13.01.
I use CF card with one partition 1gb formatted TOS/windows with byte swiping enabled; to make backup copies and from there read the CF on my Mac to make a copy.
The CF is used to transfer between Atari falcon and Mac.
Since I use 13.01, the copy of entire content of a partition '(ex : disk C... select all, drag/drop to volume "byte swapped"-> the copie start, and crash. and the TOS/windows partition is corrupted.
whatever I use kobold, TOS, or mint. the copy starts and 30 seconds fetes crases.
i i repartition my CF card without "byte swapping" check. copy is fine but useless as I can''t read the CF on the Mac...
I got the same on a Bluescsi image disk as destination: bye swapping enabled : crash.
on hddreiver 11.x I all was working without issues.
is there a bug or something I have to set up or to be aware ?
i i copy only few files or folders, it is ok, but selecting thousand of files/folders is not. when destination is a"byte swapped" volume.
when the copy crash, the dest partition is unusable, and have to repartition the media.
thanks for any suggestion.

Re: Large copy on "byte swapping" media -> crash
This is nothing that has been reported yet. Can you please provide details on your setup?
1. Is this a stock Falcon, or is it equipped with hardware extensions like DFB1, CT*, ...?
2. If this is a Falcon with alternate RAM: Did you install HDDRIVER in alternate RAM or ST RAM?
3. How much memory (alternate RAM/ST RAM) does your Falcon have?
4. What is the exact version of HDDRIVER 11.x that is working for you? HDDRIVER 11.01, 11.09, 11.14, ...)?
5. What are your "Performance" settings?
6. Have you also tried HDDRIVER 12? If you don't have it because you upgraded from 11 to 13, please send me an email.

Re: Large copy on "byte swapping" media -> crash
Looks as if I can reproduce this issue with my TT, and I am quite sure that this is the bug that you reported. It only happens when byte-swapping large amounts of data, and only with HDDRIVER 13.
I have already prepared a bugfix, and I would like to ask you to test it. Please send me an email with your real name and license number. I will then send you a beta version that should fix this bug. For now, there is no need to send me the information I asked you for in my previous posting.

HDDRIVER 13.02, which fixes this bug, is available now. Thank you for your bug report and for testing the beta version.
