There isn't a problem Uwe. You are missing the point. I had "Capacity Display" set to GB/MB (1000 Bytes per KB) which allows me to enter 1072 as a partition value without getting a warning. That's what I was not expecting, as I believe the limit to be 1024MB per partition. When I set the "Capacity Display" to GiB/MiB (1024 Bytes per KiB) then the value of 1023MB is the maximum.

So there is no issue. Just a very confusing option to allow a GB/MB to mean 1000 Bytes per KB. That's not correct for me.

OK, now I understand. A KB is 1000 bytes, a KiB is 1024 etc., that is the correct notation. Even if you do not like it ;-).

Yep, I don't like it. :-)

It's the only software product that I've ever come across (on any platform) that has KB is 1000 bytes.
